nance (they/she) is the project of Nance Mariano who is a chamoru fiber artist, musician, and software engineer residing in Seattle. Specializing in music and comedy, their work expresses the curiosities that happen at the intersection of Pasifika identity, queerness, and mental illness. you can hear bedroom pop, jazz, and country influences in their music. They find particular enjoyment in making an audience feel, whether it be crying over a love song or chuckling over a joke. As a lifelong learner, they are always expanding their practice and adventuring into new mediums. they are a proud member of the band and artist collective guma’ gela’. they have crochet work featured at the Wing Luke Museum until June 2024.
