ACES is collaborating with Friends of Waterfront Park for the fifth annual Waterfront Block Party, featuring 6 ACES artists during this year’s lineup!

Homebodies: A Ritual to Lose Oneself is a movement meditation that blurs the line between performance, ritual, and collective healing practice. Through a layered combination of spoken word and text, a live DJ soundscape, and guided movement, audiences are invited into a shared experience of slowness, presence, and embodiment. As the piece unfolds, audiences are guided through a collective slow movement meditation that gradually builds toward a featured solo dance performance. Audience participation is welcomed as an invitation rather than an expectation, allowing each person to engage at their own level of comfort. Rooted in care, reflection, and communal energy/shamanic practices, Homebodies offers space to pause, breathe, and inhabit the body as a site of memory, wisdom, and transformation.

• Bio: Nothing rehearsed and always spun from the heart, DJ 1ook’s sound selections are rooted in love for hip-hop, movement, fluidity, and exploration

DJ Siempre Bruja ( @4siemprebruja ) – Set Time: 3:25 PM – 3:55 PM

• Bio: Siempre Bruja (they/them), a Mexican, queer, dancer, DJ, and community organizer who believes in the power of movement, sound, and pleasure activism to create spaces of liberation.

DJ TEB (@tebworldwide) – Set Time: 4:50 PM – 5:20 PM

• Bio: Taylar Elizza Beth is an experimental, alt-hip-hop artist, vocalist, and DJ drawing on her background as a mixed-race, black femme artist to create multidimensional and empowering experiences through her music.

DJ Toya B ( @djtoyab) – Set Time: 6:15 PM – 6:45 PM

• Bio: DJ Toya B (Toya Harris) is a Seattle based DJ from Tacoma, known for her eccentric transitions. Mixing and matching blends of various genres, from hip hop, to techno, nostalgic R&B and power-pop anthems, along with cutting edge club music. When Toya B is on the decks, get ready for an eclectic experience on the dance floor.
