“Home” evokes feelings of time spent at Dionne’s great grandmother’s house, and with her family. The work expresses the artist’s connection to these memories that define her youth like treasures from a time capsule, describing the welcoming, close-knit, yet redlined and disinvested Hilltop neighborhood of the past.
