Danza Monarcas

Danza Monarcas is a Seattle-based baile folklorico group (Mexican folk dance) that celebrates and reimagines this heritage performance art through a queer lens. We are fostering a safe creative space – for dancers and audiences – to strengthen connections to heritage and performance art in the Pacific Northwest. We host free-of-charge and public practices for people 18+years old and in the LGBTQIA+ and Latin community every Monday evening at a BIPOC- and women-owned studio in Burien, Washington.
