The Storefronts & Artist Residencies at 1401 4th Ave highlights multidisciplinary approaches to storytelling, memory, and imaginative world-building. Artists Ai-Chun Huang, Charde’ Brown, Megan Patterson Gabeau, Katana Sol (Entangled Oceans), and Karima Baza (Bazakart) use animation, painting, immersive installation, and mixed media to explore themes of migration, womanhood, spirituality, healing, and place—transforming the storefront into a cinematic and emotionally resonant public experience.
