Rachel Painting (she/her) rejoined Shunpike as a Program Manager in 2024. She first came to Shunpike in 2011 as the Operations Manager. She continued working at Shunpike in various capacities for 6 years and brings a deep knowledge of fiscal sponsorship and arts management. She is thrilled to be back!

Rachel received her BA in political science from the University of Texas and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University, where her studies focused on building meaningful and inclusive participation in community-based organizations. She has worked personally and professionally with artist collectives throughout Austin, TX, and Seattle, WA.

With 20+ years of experience, Rachel has helped hundreds of artists and community groups navigate every issue and opportunity imaginable. As a Program Manager, she is excited to work with local artists and help them reach their unique goals.
