When the moon turns blue, is an imagined place on the horizon where we might meet and re-imagine the future. How can we inhabit the landscape with a softer touch? How do our actions as consumers alter our landscape? Made up of scraps of recycled clothing and fabric, the piece is a reflection on our collective human footprint and its effects on the environment, and how we connect with cycles in the natural world.

Sarah Norsworthy is an artist from Anchorage, Alaska currently living in Seattle, Washington. She received her B.A. in Studio Art from Dartmouth College in 2002. She earned her MFA in painting and drawing at the University of Washington in 2015. She currently teaches art at Friendship Academy, a new center for developmentally disabled adults, as well as at North Seattle College in the Continuing Education program. She is a painter who often works with textiles, creating embroidered clothing and designs. She is represented by studio e gallery in Georgetown, Seattle, and has shown her work in NY, VT, PA, CT and AR.
