Truc-Quan Nguyen is a landscape and botanical artist living in Washington. Her art is inspired by the natural world and her personal experiences as she navigates life in the Pacific Northwest. She works with a variety of mediums from watercolor, gouache and acrylic to celebrate the outdoors and highlight nature’s brightest colors. Truc-Quan’s work embraces the relationship between people and place, connecting humans to nature and capturing a colorful moment in time. Her creative process is grounded in observation, painting on location or taking photos to reference later in her art studio. Through this artist residency she aims to stretch her boundaries with artistic innovation and expand her teaching practice to reach more of the Seattle community.
