HeZza FeZza

HeZza FeZza puts on multidisciplinary, racially, culturally and LGBTQ+ inclusive and all ages shows. The mission is to spread joy, connection and curiosity, thru diverse voices and well-curated multi-disciplinary art and music events onto one platform and into one colorful and complex, yet universally relatable, interwoven story. The commitment to social equity and diversity is displayed through the outreach actions into diverse local communities of HeZza FeZza is located in and builds social bridges to. For example, HeZza FeZza resides in Mercy Magnuson subsidized housing which has a diverse population of residents that grew up in Tigray and Amhara regions of Ethiopia, Kenya, Congo, the Oaxacan region of Mexico, Germany, Somalia, Great Britain and the US. The first event of the year will be the Mercy Magnuson Block Party, which in all its years running, this year will be the first year to host a showcase featuring the diverse voices of the residents. In years prior the entertainment came from the patrons to the festival and the neighbors were not culturally represented.
